We may have been quiet for a bit, but fear not: a fresh crew of majestic, motivated, magnificently‑bearded humans has stepped out of the shadows to bring you the one… the only… Ithaca Beard and Mustache Club Competition!
That’s right.
Yessir! Yessit! Yee‑hawww! Yahtzee!
It’s happening.
Get those beards brushed, those ’staches styled, and those chops chiseled—March 7th is about to be a day full of follicular glory. Whether you’re rocking a wizard‑length beard, a fierce handlebar, or just here to cheer for your favorite facial‑hair heroes, this is the showdown you won’t want to miss.
Stay tuned, stay groomed, and get ready for greatness.

The Chili 'Stache and Beard Competition will be held February 8th on the Ithaca Commons during the Ithaca Chili Fest. 

The registration will go from 12 pm to 2:30 pm on the corner of Bank Alley and the Commons. The competition itself will be held from 3 pm to 4:30 pm on the Bernie Milton Pavilion.  We will not do any registration online and it will be only the day of.  Please make sure you are registered by 2:30 pm.  All of the competition descriptions and scoring guidelines are posted here, on our Events page.

Competitions will include:
Sans Barbe (fake beard) - Create your best facial hair show piece and bring it down to party!!
The Chili 'Stache 
Partial Beard - You can have any style as long as facial hair growth covers part, but not all of your skin. 
Full Beard - Less than or equal to 6 inches
Full Beard - Greater than 6 inches (measured from the bottom lip)
Best in Show (New) - We want you to dress up (with or without a bead), be enthusiastic.  We want amazing and creative!  Yes, there will be an award for this.

The suggested registration fee is $10 for the Chili 'Stache and Beard Competition.  All proceeds will go to RISE and donated under Ithaca Beard and Mustache Club.

The times almost here!  A big shout out to The Westy, The Watershed, The Ale House, and Downtown Ithaca Alliance for their donations.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

February 9th is the time to get judged on the commons where we will be hosting the 10th annual Chili 'Stache and Beard competition. Come on down and taste some chili and have a blast with your favorite bearded men or women!

The 10th Annual Chili 'Stache and Beard Competition will be held February 9th on the Ithaca Commons during the Ithaca Chili Cook-Off. The registration will go from 12 pm to 2:30 pm on the corner of Bank Alley and the Commons. The competition itself will be held from 3 pm to 4:30 pm on the Bernie Milton Pavilion (different than last year) to accommodate our facial hair fans.  

Competitions will include Crafty All Ages Chili 'Stache, Full Natural Beard, Full Groomed Beard, Partial Beard, the Chili 'Stache, and Sans Barbe. The registration fee is a suggested donation of $8 for the Chili 'Stache and Beard Competition. All proceeds will go to Loaves and Fishes and donated under IBMC.
